Mother of 15 wonderful children, adored by her family, and missed by her children, Lucy had a wonderful wit, and a glee in her eye. Lucy was a devote catholic, and mother. Lucy raised 11 children by herself after she lost her beloved husband Ben. Lucy loved to play the harmonic, making Lu's crumbles, and playing solitaire . Lucy was meet in heaven by her husband Ben, daughters Dorothy , and Marlene. Granddaughter, MaryBeth left us too soon, and joined her grandmother joyously in 2007.
Memories from her daughter Janice.........I can't even begin to tell you how much I love and admire you. What you did for us, i never appreciated until I had my own family. I can't recall you ever complaining about anything. I know we never had alot, but you didn't act like it, so we never worried, When you were around us, I always felt safe, Your faith has always been a huge inspiration for me. I've always said that when you got to heaven, Mary probably had to make room for you next to Jesus, You were definitely a Saint on Earth.
Julie..........Mom was a Saint...as a child, I believed that literally, I heard bits and pieces about the apperarance of Mary of Fatima. St Lucy was one of the visionaires. I always wondered as a kid if she was the one who saw Mary!
There are more of these memories, but I think you get the gest of what a wonderful person, wife and mother Lucy was, I just wanted the world to know.
Lucy and Ben were blessed with 45 grandchildren, 99 great grandchildren and 12 Great-great- grandchildren.

Lucy J. Luetkemeyer, 85, St. Elizabeth, died Tuesday at her home. She was born Jan. 19, 1906, in Meta, a daughter of Fritz and Mary Evers Oligschlaeger. She was married April 28, 1925, in St. Elizabeth to Bernard J. Luetkemeyer, who died July 15, 1954. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth.

Survivors include: seven sons, Bernard Luetkemeyer, Fulton, Gerald Luetkemeyer, Tuscumbia, Michael Luetkemeyer, Lee's Sjmmit, and Anton Luetkemeyer, Richard Luetkemeyer, Larry Luetkemeyer and Patrick Luetkemeyer, all of St. Louis; six daughters, Eleanor Beck, Kansas City, Kathy Raithel, Monroe, Conn., Mary Ann Beaver and Carolyn Johnson, both of St. Louis, and Janice Hake and Julie Wilson both of Jefferson City; and one brother, Emil Oligschlaaeger, St. Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Dorothy Luetkemeyer and Marlene Luetkemeyer.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth. The Rev. John Degnan will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, St. Elizabeth. A rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials are suggested to the Peru Missions.
