Arkansas City Daily Traveler (Arkansas City Kansas) 29 Nov 1913 Pg 5; MRS.SARAH M. CAIN DEAD; Mrs.Sarah M. Cain, wife of John Cain, of northwest of the city, passed away this morning at the family home. The cause of her death was pneumonia and she had been sick for about ten days. It is said she was taken ill a week ago Thursday night while attending the Scoville revival up in the tabernacle. Mrs. Cain was born in Indiana and had resided in or near Arkansas city for the past 40 years; she was aged 52 years 7 months 12 days at the time of her death. Besides the husband she leaves 7 children to mourn her death. They are James Cain, Mrs. Molly Tinsley, Mrs. Jessie A Ward, Mrs Frances Huston, Bruce Cain, Mrs. Ethel Conley, and Ollie Cain, all of whom reside in this vicinity. Funeral services are to be held Monday morning at ten o'clock at the residence northwest of the city, conducted by Rev. Henshaw, pastor of the Christian church. The body will be interred in the old Winfield cemetery located several miles east of that city. (contributed by Darrell G Mounts #46934892)
