Pekin - Ellen Lydia Warner, 89, of 1520 El Camino Dr., formerly of 1117 Howard Ct., Pekin, passed away at 8:20 am Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at Pekin Manor.
Ellen was born February 14, 1917 in Pekin to Otto H. and Laura J. Graham Hardt. She married Nelson E. Warner December 7, 1935 in Pekin. He died February 19, 2002.
Also preceding her in death are three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are; one son, Graham W. (and Anne) Warner of Jacksonville FL; one daughter Karen L. (and Bill) Streight of Chatham IL; two sisters, Laura Johnson of Bartonville, IL and Jane Danz of Kennewick, WA; one granddaughter, Bethany (and Rev. Paul) Woods of Girard, IL and two grandsons, Todd (and Dena) Warner of Jacksonville, FL and Micah Streight of Chatham, IL; four great grandchildren, Rebecca, Nelson and Lydia Woods of Girard, IL and Madison Warner of Jacksonville, FL.
Ellen was a homemaker who enjoyed being active in Tazewell County Home Extension.
She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was of the Baptist faith.
Ellen was a very loving wife to her husband.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 10, 2006 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Woods. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Memorials should be made to Harbor Light Hospice 2000 W. Pioneer Parkway, Peoria, IL 61615.
