Born in Greenville County, SC; son of the late Murphy Stone and Bessie Kelly Stone Farmer; loving husband of Ruth Trammell Stone for 65 years.
Retired from Hoescht-Celanese and Plastex in Greer; hobbies were shooting pool and talking on his ham radio.
Survived by daughters, Debbie Stone Deyoung (Eddie) and Andrea Stone Fuller (Bryan); sons, Henry Stone (Kay), Ronald Stone, and Jeffrey Russell "Jeff" Stone, Sr.; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; brother, Lewis Stone (Margie); and brother-in-law, Kenneth Trammell (Kathy).
Predeceased by a sister, Sarah Frances Stone Cothran (1939-2021); brother, James Wilson Stone (1942-2009); grandson, Jeffrey Russell "Russ" Stone, Jr. (1995-2017); great-grandson, Conner Deyoung; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Ann Pearson Stone (1970-2016).
