Billie Sue Brown, age 82, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at her home at 182 Woody Lane in Jamestown, Kentucky.

Billie Sue was born on October 15, 1938, in Columbia, Kentucky, to Mary Beard Wolford and William Robert Wolford, who preceded her in death. Billie Sue was saved at a young age and was a member of the Russell Springs Christian Church. Billie Sue was an office manager for State Farm Insurance and a full-time loving mother to four children.

Billie Sue Wolford and Nathan Jack Brown, III were united in marriage on May 19, 1957. They were married for 37 years, and he precedes her in death. Billie Sue made sure her children were well cared for even after the death of their father in 1995.

Also preceding Billie Sue in death is her beloved son, Mark Allan Brown.

Billie Sue is survived by one siblig, a sister, Lou Ann Overton (Jerry); three children, Sherri Selby (Darrell), Suzette Hadley (Eric), and Kandi Campbell (Scott); five grandchildren, Alex Selby (Blakesley), Austin Hadley (Kayla), Grant Hadley (Haley), Jack Hadley, and Gavin Campbell; a niece, Cassie Richardson; and a nephew, Jason Overton.

Billie Sue was gentle and kind and had a most cheerful spirit. Billie Sue was known for sending hundreds of hand-written cards to anyone she could find an address for to those celebrating birthdays, graduations, promotions, weddings, babies; and the occasional thank-you note, if you had been so kind as to do something special for her or someone she loved. She was the epitome of thoughtful and a good friend to many.

Raising her family on Old Columbia Road, Billie Sue's children had everything they needed and most of what they wanted. Billie Sue's home was known to be welcoming, fun, and most importantly- loving. Billie Sue was an excellent mother; and her children were blessed to have her.

Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Carroll Egnew officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Springs City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Sunday, at Bernard Funeral Home.
