He married Willa Dean [nee Littrell] Brown and to that union were born two sons.
As a young man he was quite an accomplished athlete: in High School Basketball at Wagner, Fast Pitch Softball, and was a Golden Glove Boxer back in the day.
Later in life he was known for coaching Little League Baseball, religiously following the St Louis Cardinals, even while fishing or going to the casinos.
He worked as a Test Driver for Wagner Electric.
Survivors include his wife of almost 70 years: Willa Dean; two sons: Marvin [Pamela] Brown and Larry [Susan] Brown; three grandchildren: Nathan [Shelly] Brown, Andrea [Rodney] Calise, Rachel Brown [James Fitzgerald];
one great granddaughter: Simone Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Henry Brown;
two sisters: Juanita Saalwaechter and Imogene Tetley.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 15 from 10-11 am at Valhalla Chapel;
with the Funeral Ceremony at 11:00 am, and interment in Valhalla Cemetery.
