Arile Denis "A.D." Brown, 80, of Hayti, died Aug. 1, 1993 at Memphis. Born Dec. 15, 1912 in Wardell, he was the son of Marvin and Ethel Williams Brown. He was a Methodist and a retired truck driver and farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances Gunn Brown; and a brother, William Brown. He is survived by a son, Steve Brown of Memphis; Three daughters, Judy Scott of Lilbourn, Dale Baker of Sikeston and Debbie Greer of Memphis; Two half brothers, Joe Brown of St. Louis and Henry Lee Brown of Florida; Two half sisters, Imogene Tettley of Kansas City and Juanita Saalwechter of New Madrid; Four grandchildren, Sharri Shock of Gideon, Barbie Hon of Malden and Mystie and Nicholas Brown, both of Memphis; And a great-granddaughter, Alexia Hon.
Services were Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. at John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Hayti, the Rev. Charles Darnell officiating, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Simmons, Ken Hunt, Mike Thomas, Jimmy Wilson, W.T. Davidson Jr., Raymond Inman and Gary Damron.
