Carol J. Seidel, nee Zobrist, age 86, of Highland, and formerly of Trenton, entered into rest on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Aperion Care in Mascoutah.
She was born June 3, 1935, a daughter of the late Theodore and Nora, nee Case, Zobrist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Seidel, whom she married on June 29, 1957 at United Church of Christ in Highland and who died on October 25, 1984; brothers, Dean Zobrist, Randy Zobrist, Ted Zobrist, and Robert Zobrist; and sisters Margie Dean and Audrey Dubach.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Mary Seidel of Trenton; grandchildren, Jason Seidel and Stephen (Tina) Seidel; great-granddaughter Bailey Seidel; sister Jean Evans of Ballwin, MO, and nieces and nephews.
Carol was a member of United Church of Christ in Highland and was a homemaker.
Graveside Service will be Monday, October 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Trenton Cemetery with Pastor Todd Bean officiating.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society and will be received by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
