Anita (Mainprize) Harper was born the daughter of Coy Mainprize and Grace (Sauser) Mainprize on March 2, 1957 and departed this life on October 11, 2021, at the age of 64 years.

She was united in marriage on May 24, 1975 to Jerry Harper.

She is survived by her two sons, Jeremy Harper and Terrah of Republic, Missouri; Bradley Harper and wife, Jessica of Thayer, Missouri; four grandchildren, Landon, Payton, Canyon, and Mesa; three sisters, Pam Baker of Thayer, Missouri; Denise Sherman and husband, Neil of Independence, Missouri; Connie Daniel and husband, Michael of Marshfield, Missouri; one brother, Keith Mainprize and wife, Rona of Willard, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Harper; her parents, Coy and Grace Mainprize; and one brother, Ernie Mainprize.

Anita was a graduate of Thayer High School with the class of 1975. She worked for Dr. Fiorino for many years before transitioning to Banking, she retired in 2018. She enjoyed spending time at family gatherings, playing rummy, and riding ATVs at Cloud 9 Ranch. She loved watching her sons and then her grandkids play ball. Time with her grandkids made her happy, especially when she got to take them to yard sales. She attended Welcome Hill Church of Christ & enjoyed spending time in fellowship with the other members. She will be remembered for always taking care of others before herself. Her bright smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services for Anita Harper, age 64, of Thayer, Missouri will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer with Erman Croney officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 15th from 10am until time of service. Interment will be in Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Clary Funeral Home in Thayer.
