Born Feb. 22, 1930 in Green Township, Indiana, Pa., she was the daughter of Jack and Gertrude (Smith) Witherite.
She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Lumber City. She retired from Superior Pet Company. She enjoyed embroidery, minature golf and word puzzles. She loved the Pittsburgh Pirates. She was married to Herbert Dimmick from 1948 until May 1969 and then married Joseph Hamilton, Sr. in December 1969.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Russ) Sloppy of Kerrmoor; sons, Barry Dimmick of Clearfield, Greg (Kim) Dimmick of Kerrmoor, Joe (Diane) Hamilton of Greenville; and sister Marlene Swatsworth, Romeoville, Ill.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Earl Dimmick and Neal Dimmick; sisters, Margaret, Lorraine, Zelma, LaRue, and Genevieve; brothers, Barney, Jack, Charles and Gene; also eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at the Faith Bible Church in Lumber City at 11 a.m. The Rev. Scott Schultz will officiate.
Family will be received at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will be at a later date at Watts Cemetery at the convience of the family.
The Reed Funeral Home in Houtzdale is in charge of the arrangements.
