Diane R. Young, 71, passed away on Friday afternoon, October 8, 2021 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
She was born on July 8, 1950 in Muncie, the daughter of William A. and Mary (Stewart) Love and graduated from Yorktown High School in 1969.
On March 16, 1974 in Yorktown, she married David L. Young who preceded her in death on October 4, 2021.
Diane worked for K-Mart, Studebaker Hall, Ball State University and became a homemaker.
She loved to read, listen to music, go to movies, creating crafts, playing cards, cake decorating, swinging in the backyard, working hundreds of puzzles, made many family Christmas stockings, and especially loved camping with family members. She was a lifetime member of Jolly Workers.
Surviving are brother, Dan Love (wife, Lee) of Albers, IL; sister, Debbie (Love) Ware (husband, Ed) of Muncie; brothers-in-law, Terry Smith of Greenfield, Rob Rochholz of Zephyrhills, FL, Bill Young (wife, Lady) of Losantville and Steve Young (wife, Dianne) of Gaston; one sister-in-law, Naomi (Young) Tucker (husband, Chuck) of Potosi, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Mary (McDonald) Young; one son, Dion L. Young in 2016; two sisters, Susan Smith and Beth Ann Rochholz; one brother, Bruce Love (infant); brother-in-law Tom Young; and sister-in-law, Mary Evelyn Young.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 with Pastor Dewayne Loveless officiating.
Burial will follow in Union Eaton Cemetery.
