Obit:
June Rizzo, age 62, of Horton, KS, passed away October 7th , 2021.
She was born December 14th , 1958, to the late Dwayne and Eleanore (Koch) Blackman in Fontana, CA.

June moved to Council Bluffs, IA with her parents at a young age from sunny California. She met her first husband, James Stamper, whom she married in 1975. They were blessed with five children. June received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Missouri Western and multiple master's degrees from the University of Phoenix in which she became a professor. She was more than just an employee at every single workplace June was involved in.

She worked as a family advocate at Doniphan County Head Start, at Golden Eagle Casino in HR and bingo departments, Prairie Band Casino and Resort as the bingo manager, and a proud EMT for over 20 years. July 29th , 2001, June married her husband Mike Rizzo with whom she spent many happy years traveling and blending their families.

June enjoyed and lived her life to the fullest. She had a deep compassion for children, whether it be for work, opening her arms and doors to foster others, or spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She loved plastic canvasing, sewing, and everything Marvin the Martian. June liked to cook family recipes, try out new ones, and baking goodies she could share with others. She permed every head of hair she could get her hands on. June spent days and nights cheering on her children's sporting events but cheered even louder for the Raiders and the Royals.

June will be remembered for her drive to help others. She would do or give anything if it meant changing someone else's life or even their day. When you became a friend to her, you became family. June showed her love through singing. Her angelic voice brought people together. She was the best mother to her children, grandchildren, and to those who she emotionally took in.

Words cannot even begin to explain the type of person June was or how much she will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to take a walk in life with her.
