Angela Marie Walker, 44, of Martinsville, passed from this life on Thursday, October 7, 2021, in the comfort of her own home and surrounded by her family. Angie had courageously fought breast cancer for the last several years but is now officially free of cancer. She was born on March 5, 1977, in Indianapolis to Deborah Sue (Plummer) Hinson and the late Andrew Patrick Hinson.
She graduated from Martinsville High School with the class of 1997. She began dating her future husband, Bobby Walker, in March of 1999 and later married him on October 16, 2016. She was mom to five sons and took great pride in her family. Angie was also instrumental in helping her husband with the family business, Walker Bobcat Service.
Angie had a creative spirit and enjoyed quilting, making jewelry, and embroidery. Her greatest joy in life was most certainly her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and more. Her sons and other family affectionately referred to her as Mama Bear.
She leaves behind her loving family including her husband, Bobby Walker of Martinsville; mother, Debbie Hinson of Greenwood; sons, Niles (wife, Jenny) Griffin of Mississippi, James Walker, Randel Walker, Grant Walker, and Calvin Walker all of Martinsville; brothers, Mike Hinson of Indianapolis and Brandon (wife, Lauren) Milligan of Indianapolis; and grandchild, Heaven Griffin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Hinson.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the chapel at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. Rev. Kevin Able will officiate a service celebrating her life on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with an hour of visiting prior. She will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hall.
