Diann Dillingham, age 75, of Coleman, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in UT Southwestern Medical Center. After several years of suffering with pulmonary fibrosis and receiving a lung transplant, she took her first deep breath in heaven, pain-free and reunited with those she loved.

The family will host a time of visitation and reflection on Monday, August 8, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Medley and Rev. Brad Slaten officiating. Private interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.

Diann Dunn was born on October 21, 1946 in El Paso, Texas, a daughter of Hurschel Dunn and Edna Stell Dunn. She came to Coleman with her family when she was 18 months old. She grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School, Class of 1965. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and her Master of Science degree from Texas A & M University. On December 23, 1967, she married John Dillingham at the First Presbyterian Church in Coleman and they spent 51 happy years together until his death on May 19, 2018. Diann was an educator for most of her life, teaching at A & M University, Texas Tech University and South Plains College. After retirement, she and John moved to Coleman to live on the family farm. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Coleman. Diann was a member of the Coleman County Retired Teachers Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, Captain William Buckner Chapter and Circle C Cattlewomen.

She is survived by two children, Sandi Buchanan and husband Matt of Lubbock and John Mark Dillingham of Coleman; four grandchildren, Jade Buchanan and wife Jessica, Mattisan Marshall and husband Cain, Conlan Buchanan and Kara Dillingham; , Isabella Buchanan, Paisley Marshall, Piper Marshall, Deacon Marshall, Eliza Buchanan, Drew Marshall, Zander Buchanan, Hadley Buchanan and Declan Marshall; one brother, B. G. Dunn and wife Rosemary of Charlotte, NC.
