Isham is son of John Jackson Lebow. John Jackson married Mary Jane Jennings, reportedly in 1807 when they were teens.

It is probable there were older children born between 1825-1833 who were not with the family for the 1850 census.

The family lived in Blount TN. where they are found in 1850 census with 11 children; in 1870 with son Isaac/22; and in 1880 Isham and Sarah are alone, both as age 72. On one side of them is son Samuel/29 and family and on the other side is widower Taylor Lebow/38 and ch Sarah/14, Mary/8, Charles/6 and George/4. Taylor appears to be same person as son Winfield/Grinsfield T. Lebow born 1841.
