Born December 27, 1930, in St. Louis County, Missouri Bob was one of two sons born to Oscar and Ada (Heaton) Callier. On June 6, 1950, Bob married the love of his life, Shirley C. (Hogue) and they enjoyed seventy-one years together.
Following graduation from St. Mary's High School in St. Louis, Bob began working for E. H. Barre, in St. Louis, as a welder/fabricator and thru hard work and dedication, worked his way up thru the ranks to the position of Plant Foreman, then Purchasing Agent and ultimately Co-Owner of E. H. Barre in 1994. After dedicating his entire working career to Barre, Bob retired in 1996. Bob and Shirley were members of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Robinson, IL. Bob was also a Life member and former Board Member of Quail Creek Country Club in Robinson; was a member of B.P.O. Elks #1188 in Robinson and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, #1704.
Bob's third love after Shirley and his children was golf. We who are left behind, both family and friends wish for Bob the following: "May your swing be straight and the ball fly far. May your round be blessed with no worse than par."
Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, Karen Rickermann and a brother Victor Callier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday October 13, 2021, at St. Elisabeth's Catholic Church, Robinson, IL with Father Dean Probst celebrating the Mass.
Burial will take place on Thursday October 14, 2021, in the Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
