William Russell Weaver, 66, of Port Matilda, was pronounced dead Monday, Oct. 4, 2021 at his residence by Centre Co. Coroner. He was born Oct. 7, 1954 in Philipsburg a son of the late Paul Dean and Dolores Pearl (Matts) Weaver. He never married. He is survived by 6 siblings: Paul D. Weaver, Jr. (Rhonda) and Gail Daughenbaugh (Neil) of Port Matilda, Danny Weaver (Donna) of Tyrone, Shane Weaver (Lisa), Darlene "Buffy" Ripka, Lisa Haagen (Randy) of Port Matilda.There are several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He served in the U S Army during the Vietnam Era. He was an auto mechanic and had worked at the State College School District, worked at the Weaver Family sawmill, and operated his own small engine repair shop. He always enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle rides, small engines, collecting knives and his dog "Henry". A private family Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Pastor Samuel Reese officiating. Military Honors will be by the Blair Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Inurnment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
