Obituary from Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport LA:
Mary Louise Hooper, age 95, born April 2nd 1926 in Logansport, Louisiana went to Heaven to be with her Lord on October 4, 2021. Visitation will be 11:00 to 12:00 Friday October 8th at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A service for close friends and family officiated by Reverend Tom Harrison will follow visitation.

Louise was loved by all who knew her. She loved her church, visits with children and grandchildren, reading, gardening and traveling. Most importantly she was a Christian witness left for her family.

Louise is survived by one sister, Emma Louella Gates, her daughters, Mary Nell Holder (husband, Ken), Janie Linder (husband, Tommy) and Joyce Hooper; 8 grandchildren, Kristie Burkes (husband, Randy), John Todd Willis (wife, Molley), Tammie Rowe, Jill Stuart (husband, Brian), Doug Linder, Jacob Willis (wife, Teresa) and Jason Nehring, fourteen great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and numerous loved nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her dearly loved husband Alfred Jake Hooper; her parents, Monta Sudie Windham and Minor W. Windham; granddaughter, Stephanie Denise Kelley; and sisters, Edith May Watt, Laude Marie Foster, Jo Nell Stewart; and brother, William Lamar Windham.

The family would like to express a special appreciation to Kesha Washington caregiver and to Willis Knighton Hospice, Christi Graham, RN.
