Obituary
Anne R. Williams, 97, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2020 in Highland, Utah. She was born December 24, 1922 in Leland, Utah to John Lyne Roberts and Maude Elizabeth Roberts. She married Paul R. Williams in Provo, Utah on April 20, 1944. They started their married life living in Edgemont, Utah and started raising mink. They raised mink there for 12 years. Then they moved their ranch and family to Highland, Utah where she resided for the last 59 years. Anne knew the value of hard work, she worked with her husband, son, and son in law on their mink ranches for 71 years. She was a charter member of the Alpine Country Club. She loved golfing, hitting two holes in one in her career. She loved her golf ladies and their friendships will be forever. Finally she gave up her locker at the club, storing her clubs five years ago at the age of 92. She was a wonderful grandma and great grandmother. She was an excellent cook, and always enjoyed cooking for her family. Her family favorites were Shrimp Creole and Ruben Sandwiches. If you timed it right and stopped in at noon sharp she would be serving a hot cooked lunch to Paul and Gordy. There was always plenty and you were welcome to eat.

Anne loved her home and took pride in it. She loved flower gardening and surrounded her home with flowers of every kind. She spent every day in her home until she passed. She was the most giving person, never missing a birthday or Christmas until this past year when she said there were too many of us to remember. Anne was outgoing, helpful and friendly to all she met. She attended all the fur auctions and enjoyed meeting people from all over the United States, where they quickly became members of her circle of friends. She enjoyed traveling; traveling around the world with her husband. Thanks be to the Howden the best neighbors ever for including her in their social activities and circle of love. She is going to be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children: Lyn (Junior) Degelbeck, Gordon (Connie) Williams, Patty (Paul) Aston, 11 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, and her sister Marie Ridge, and many nieces and nephews she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, her brother Jack Roberts and her sister LaRae Deaton.
