Preceded in death by parents; wife, Paula Ann (Sutt) Alt; son, Charles Alt Jr.; sister, Theresa Alt and brother, Francis Alt II. Survived by loving children, Robert J. married to the former Jill Plummer; Angela M. married to Dr. James McKendree MD; and James married to the former Heather Burgo, all of Johnstown. Also survived by grandchildren, Jonathan, Ashley, Tyler, Nichele, Joshua, Lauren, Matthew, Jacob, Alec, Brooklyn, Arron, Alexis, Caitlyn, Delaney, Alyssa, Edward, Franklin and great grandson, Brody. A brother of Amelia Kristofco, formerly of Johnstown; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Paula Lavely of Johnstown. U.S. Navy veteran during the Vietnam War. Retired employee for Bethlehem Steel Corp. afterwards he received his degree in the Culinary Arts. He was an associate at the Johnstown Home Depot. A member of the AmSlo Social Club, Turners, American Legion and life member of Dale Boro Vol. Fire Co. Friends received Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m., at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Committal will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, where the Conemaugh Valley Detachment #287 Marine Corp League will provide military honors.
