He was given ten years mainly due to his previous convictions and bad character over the course of the previous 8 to 9 years. He was sent to the Hulk prison ship HMS WARRIOR on 8 April 1850.
Joseph arrived on 5 May 1854 aboard the convict ship SEA PARK.
Joseph gained his Ticket-of-Leave on 5 April 1854 and his Conditional Pardon on 21 May 1855.
Joseph married Isabella FINER nee CRESSWELL on 18 January 1863 in Albany, Western Australia.
Joseph was buried on 7 February 1875.
