Clara Lee Newton of Fredericksburg, VA passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021. She was a long-term resident of Stafford County, and recently a resident at Falls Run Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She is survived by her three daughters, Sandy Arrington (Sonny) of Colonial Beach, Janice Sullivan (Mark), and Sharon Fleming (Jerry) of Stafford County; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and one sister, Thelma Snellings of Yorktown, Va.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Richard Newton, two sisters, Wilma Boutchyard and Virginia Turnes, and her five brothers: Guy, James, Aubrey, Mac, and David Boutchyard.

Clara loved cooking, cleaning, growing flowers, and going to church. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 5 at 10:00 am in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg, VA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to White Oak Rescue Squad and/or White Oak Fire Department.
