"Grandma Nations Dead: Had Just Passed the 87th Milestone"
Mrs. Sallie Ann Nations, born March 29, 1822, died April 5, 1909, at the home of her son-in-law, I.R. Stewart, near Oak Dale. Mrs. Nations had lived with Mrs. Stewart, her daughter, about 25 years. She had been a member of the Baptist church seventy three years, and it was quite appropriate that Rev. Shelby King, who has been preaching over a half century should preach her funeral. Mrs. Nations received a very severe hurt in January and was a great sufferer up to the time of her death. It is thought that pneumonia was the immediate cause, however. Three children, 13 grand children and 10 great grand children attended the funeral.
