Robert V. "Bob" Fort, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away September 28, 2021. He was born on January 31, 1937 in Indianapolis to the late, Cephas and Loretta Fort. Bob graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for many years as a self-employed contractor. He was a member at Calvary Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking and doing puzzles. Bob is survived by his loving children, Sharon Groth (Danny) Brewer, Stan (Dina) Fort, Stuart (Donna) Fort, Steve (Ryan) Fort and Scott (Donna) Fort; grandchildren, Angel, Sarah, Aaron, Hillary, Becca, Alex, Stephanie, Hailey and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norleen "Cookie" Fort, his parents and sister, Lynn Harris. Visitation will be Monday, October 4, 2021 at 9:30 am at Calvary Lutheran Church, 6111 Shelby Street, Indianapolis. Service will begin at 10:30 am. Entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
