Hearell
Emilie Slavik Hearell, 91 of Cameron died Sunday, Dec. 2, in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hearell, a homemaker, was born June 23, 1916 in Cameron to Joseph and Agnes (Kostroun) Slavik. Her husband James D. "Slim" Hearell preceded her in death. Two sons, Jerome Zaleski and Ernest Zaleski and nine siblings also preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Bill J. Zaleski of Houston, Gene Zaleski of Caldwell and Richard Hearell of Temple; daughters Joyce Vandergriff of Waco and Evelyn Farquhar of Needville; stepsons Charles Hearell and James Hearell, both of Temple; sister, Ann Bledsoe of Shawnee, Okla.; 14 grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
