Friday evening at 9:15, Mrs. Frank Wittman, one of the splendid women of this county, died at her home northeast of Tipton, death, being due to complications of heart trouble and other ailments. Mrs. Wittman had been ill for some-time and recently her condition became much worse. Her illness dates back as far as three years, during which time she had periods when she was able to be up a portion of the time
but her health was feeble.

Mrs. Wittman, whose maiden name was Miss Abby Peters, was 71 years of age and was one of eight children born to Valentine Peters and wife of Cincinnati, her parents coming from Germany. She was united in marriage to Frank Wittman at Brookville, Ind., November 5, 1884, and shortly after their marriage they removed to this county to make their home. Since that time she has been one of the good Christian women of this community.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Mary Garst, of Fortville, Mrs. Elza Duncan, residing northeast of Tipton, Harry Wittman north of Tipton and Frieda and Julius Wittman at home. The husband died in April of this year. Mrs. Wittman is also survived by two sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Barbara Baudendistel, Miss Catherine Peters, Valentine Peters and Henry Peters all of Brookville.

Mrs. Wittman was a devout member of the St. John's Catholic church of Tipton and funeral services will be held there Monday morning at 9 o'clock. Rev. F. Jos. Bilstein officiating. Burial will be beside the husband at St. John's cemetery.
