John Myrick's grave was found unexpectly on private land in the woods behind a private owners home in the Town of Barker, Broome County, New York in a disclosed location. His grave and marker were the only grave found, no other graves were found in the location.

John Myrick was the son of John and Elizabeth (Gardner) Myrick of Nantucket, Massachusetts. He was married to Eliza Myrick (Joy), also born in Nantucket, Massachusetts in 1792. Her death in Hudson, NY., 8 Nov. 1839 (45 yrs and 3 mos old) Children were:

Elizabeth G Myrick - b abt 1817 (according to the New York, U.S., State Census, 1865 for Elizabeth G Myrick in the town of Barker, NY. age 48) daughter, was born in Nantucket, Massachusetts. Eldest daughter of John and Eliza Joy Myrick. I found a Elizabeth G. Myrick in Hudson, Columbia, New York

who passed away, 7 Aug. !893 on the Family Search website. (I am not sure if this is the same Elizabeth G. Myrick)
