A native of Norfolk County, she was a daughter of Daniel and Mrs. Caroline Griffin and widow of Charles Welton Giddins. She was a deaconess of Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph Williams of New York, and Manual Williams and David Giddins of Portsmouth; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Williams and Mrs. Vivian Smith of Portsmouth; four brothers, Henry Saunders of Norfolk, Wells Saunders and William Henry Saunders and William Henry Saunders of Portsmouth and Thomas Saunders of Chesapeake; three sisters, mrs. Julia Parker of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Elizabeth Blow of Chesapeake and Mrs. May Stephenson of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church by Elder James Thomas. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park with Rodgers Funeral Home in charge.
