Dr. Marshall preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Murphree Marshall; his father, Otis Douglas Marshall, Jr.; his brother, Otis Douglas Marshall, III; and his special cousin, Sherry Murphree; and other loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dr. Marshall graduated Robert E. Lee High School and later inducted into the Robert E. Lee High School Hall of Fame. He was a graduate of Auburn University, and the UAB School of Medicine. He served in the USAF, in Bethesda, MD, and practiced at Jackson Hospital from 1980 until retirement on June 30, 2021. He was board certified in Family Practice medicine, a Certified Medical Director at John Knox Manor Nursing Home, and served as Medical Director at multiple assisted living facilities in Montgomery, Prattville and Opelika. He was also Medical Director at Hospice of Montgomery for the past 20 years.
