His parents were Hugh and Sarah Bingham. Dr. Bingham and Harriet had 4 children in Warsaw: Celestia Elizabeth (C.E.) who married George Stevenson in Peterborough, and three boys who did not survive infancy: William H., Frederick William, and Richard Wright, 1872-1872. His wife Sarah died following childbirth in 1872. James Bingham moved to Peterborough town with his daughter and practiced medicine there, where he died in 1928.
