Fort Mill, S.C. — Mr. Gerald Loyd Vaughn, age 60, passed away Friday, March 5th 2021, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.

The Home Going Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 2027 Emorywood Drive, Charlotte, NC 28210.

Born in Muleshoe, Texas, Gerald was a son of the late Loyd Wesley and the recently deceased Glenda Rae Hicks Vaughn, who joined Gerald in Heaven just two days after. He was a teleproduction engineer in college and professional sports broadcasting. Gerald enjoyed corny jokes, good food, spending time with his family and friends, his sweet tooth and heart, making people laugh, repeating the same small circuit of movie classics, and being the master of gadgets.

He will be remembered for his unwavering faithfulness and brave fight against cancer.

Surviving are his daughters, Laurel Elizabeth Vaughn, Bekah Vaughn Wood (and her husband Mike Martin Wood) and Laurel Elizabeth Vaughn; his brothers, Travis Glen Vaughn And Steve Lynn Vaughn; and his grandchildren; Lexi Marie Wood and Maddi Grace Vaughn.
