Michael James Shaffer, 52 of Yarnell passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 15, 1969 in Bellefonte, Pa. the son Susan Cora Homan Shaffer of Centre Hall and the late James Thomas Shaffer.

He was the assistant manager in charge of the Frozen & Dairy Dept. of Weis market Westerly Parkway for over 18 years. He also worked at Shaffer Electric in Bellefonte for many years.

Michael was united in marriage to Hope P. Struble on October 14, 1995, she preceded him in death on August 4, 2021.

He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandson. He was a member of the Yarnell U.M.C. and of the Emmanuel U.C.C. in Jacksonville.

Michael is survived by one son Cody (Rebeccah) Shaffer of Yarnell, one brother Jeff Shaffer of Billings, Montana, one uncle Donald Shaffer of Howard and one grandson Hunter T. Shaffer.

Services will be at the Yarnell U.M.C. on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. with Pastors Doug Mellott & Jeanette Desmond officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Miracle Network, they were instrumental in helping with Mikes grandson Hunters who has been diagnosed with a genetic duplicate.
