Janie Elizabeth Davidson, story started on November 16, 1952, in Mobile, Alabama, where she was the sixth of eight children born to the late Howard and Minnie Anderson. Although she was one of the youngest of the children, Janie was the head of them all.

Janie attended Toulminville High School and continued her education at the College of Lake County. She later graduated from Ashworth College as a paralegal in 2006. She worked for about 20 years at Ann Kiley Center in Waukegan, IL. During her stay in IL she served as a member under Bishop Solomon Smith and Pastor Gerald Wilcoxon. She was an active member of New Shiloh Missionary Baptist with Pastor Clinton L. Johnson. She made a cookbook with dedicated recipes from baked foods to soul food from her mother and family. Anyone who knew Janie knew she always loved to bake a cake or would whip up a quick meal. She was a pillar of knowledge and was always willing to help others in their time of need.
