Robert (Buck) Storey passed away at the age of 80 on Wednesday September 1st, 2021, at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was fortunate to have his loving wife and son by his side when he rejoined his Heavenly Father. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William (Bill).

Buck was born May 2nd 1941 to Robert (Bob) and Grace Storey in Port Huron, MI. He graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1959 and joined the Marines soon thereafter. He was proud to serve his country and chose to continue with the Air Force after his service in the Marines. He was honored to be a Vietnam veteran and retired after a total of 21 faithful years in the United States military.

In 1974 Buck met his wife, Sheila. They married on November 1st and together they happily raised their children. They remained happily married for almost 47 years. During his life and their shared time together, Buck was able to share his many passions and gifts with his family friends. He was a gifted storyteller, perhaps due to the ample time he had to read while waiting for Sheila to shop. He also loved to build model trains, wood work, decorate cakes, travel, and spend as much time with his family as possible.

Above all, Buck was a devout Christian. He was strong in his faith and he joyfully shared that faith with everyone around him. He served in many churches and youth groups which often included teaching Bible stories in his granddaughters' AWANA class and cookie decorating at VBS. Buck was able to combine his passion for spreading God's word and his love of travel through mission trips to Mongolia and Cambodia.

He will be incredibly missed by his children and more than 30 grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Ann (Kevin) Hostetter, Betty Storey, Sharon (David) Mohler, Carey Mannion, Bobbi (John) Wolff, Heather (Luke) Bell, Shannon (Larry) Conard, and Robert (Kara) Storey.

A small "family only" service will be held at Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls SD followed by an honorable burial at The Veterans Cemetery of Sioux Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for prayers or any memorials to be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation.
