Jacob S. WEAVER, one of Lawrence County's oldest residents, passed away at the home of his son, Thorn, near Popcorn, at 5 a.m. last Thursday, June 4, after an illness of six weeks, due to complications caused by advanced years. Mr. WEAVER was born April 13, 1841, and was aged ninety years, one month and twenty-two days at the time of his death. He was born near Leesville to Jacob and Elizabeth (SPEER) WEAVER, and had passed his entire life in Lawrence County. He was a farmer and had always followed this vocation since manhood. Seventy years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Polly KINDER, who passed away many years ago. Twenty years ago he was united in marriage to Mrs. Julia (ROBINSON) SNOW. Surviving are three sons, Samuel, Thorn and Henry WEAVER, all of Lawrence County, and one daughter, Mrs. Mary HAVENCRAFT, of Rushville; fifteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. A son and daughter passed away many years ago. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 7, at Bedford. Interment in the Weaver Cemetery. A quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Rolla HOLMES, Everett WILSON and Joseph PARKER, sang three sons as a part of the service.

Jacob S. Weaver, aged resident of the county, passed away at the home of his son, Thornt Weaver
The deceased was born near Leesville, on April 13, 1841, to Jacob and Elizabeth Speers Weaver and at the time of his death was 90 years old. He was first married about seventy years ago to Polly Kindred, who passed away some years later. He was married a second time about twenty years ago to Julia Robinson Snow, who passes away sometime ago.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon {sic} ten o'clock from the Day & Carter funeral chapel and burial will follow in the Weaver cemetery near Fairview
