BATTLE CREEK, MI – Betty Ann (Johnson) Roberts, age 87, of Battle Creek, was called home, on September 15, 2021.

She was born in 1934 to Oscar and Edith (Haglund) Johnson in Carlshend, Michigan. Betty Ann graduated from Graveraet High School in 1952, in Marquette, Michigan. Betty worked for the Battle Creek Public Schools and after retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at the hospital. Betty and her husband of 59 1/2 years, Pierce, spent most of her life in the Battle Creek area. She loved spending time at her Upper Peninsula cottage "The Lake", loved playing bridge or cards and going out with her friends. Betty also loved spending time with her kids and her joy was spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Betty is survived by her son, Greg (Shannon) of Winnemucca, Nevada; her daughter, Julie (Mike) Regner of Battle Creek; her son, Mark of Battle Creek; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael "Micky" (Margret "Maggie") Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pierce (2013); and her son, David (2005).

Cremation has taken place and private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elara Caring Hospice and/or the American Cancer Society.
