Samuel Joseph "Sam" Morrow, age 79, of Casey, IL passed away peacefully at home at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021. He was born April 19, 1942 in Black Mountain, NC, the son of Sydney Morrow and Lena Ruth Moore Morrow. On January 3, 1975 he married Donna Jean Black in Asheville, NC.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Morrow of Casey, IL; daughter, Tammy Lea Hollingsworth of Greenup, IL; son, Eric Boyd and wife Connie of Casey, IL; grandsons, Bruce Savard of Casey, IL; Christopher Perry of Casey, IL; Chase Boyd and wife Stephanie of Casey, IL and Ty Boyd of Casey, IL; granddaughters, Jessica Wildman and husband Ethan of Plainfield, IN; Cherise Hiss and husband Zach of Brownsburg, IN; Amanda Smith and fiancé Lonnie of Casey, IL and Abby Elizabeth Seaney of Martinsville, IL; great grandchildren, Sophie Lee Savard, Alexis Garrick, Penelope Boyd, Dean Boyd, Grant Boyd, Lily Faye Lawhead, Liberty Jean Hill, Daniel James Ray Hill and one on the way; brothers, Ronnie Morrow and wife Pat of NH; Jim Morrow and wife Carol of SC; Terry Morrow and wife Maryellen of GA; sister in law, Jeanette Morrow of SC; his Church family, many friends and his cat Mickey. He was preceded in death by his son, Rusty Jay Morrow; parents, Sydney and Ruth Morrow; brother, Charles Sidney Morrow; father and mother in law, Dale and Ann Black; sister in law, Linda Black Puetz and brother in law, David Puetz.

Sam proudly served his country in the US Army from 1967 – 1969 during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the Casey VFW. Sam was retired from the City of Casey Street Department after 13 years. He had previously worked for Central Lumber Yard, Ashley's Insulation Plant, Marathon Oil Company and farmed for Ramsay Farms. Sam was a faithful member of the Casey First Baptist Church and enjoyed attending the Inspirational Bible Study group.

Burial will follow in the Vernon Addition Cemetery, Casey, IL with graveside military rites by Casey VFW and Martinsville American Legion.
