Karla "Didi" Skultety, 76, passed away peacefully from a broken heart and joined her beloved husband Thomas on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
Raised in Delmar, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Irma Rappe. Didi loved visiting the Adirondacks, especially Camp of the Pines on Schroon Lake where she met the love of her life Thomas Skultety.
She was a Registered Nurse at Albany Memorial Hospital and at Albany Cardiology for many years.
Didi was a life member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she served as Deacon. She enjoyed being involved with the Church outreach ministries and was always there to listen and lend a helping hand. She was a life member of the VFW 3185 Auxiliary and the American Legion 1040 Auxiliary.
She loved to cook especially her famous "Ziti by DiDi" and Sunday night dinners. Nana loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends and crocheting something special for everyone.
She is survived by her children Lisa Skultety (Todd Mokhiber) and Steven (Laurel) Skultety; grandchildren Garrett and Gracie Skultety, TJ and Nicholas (Kat) Mokhiber; great-grandchildren Lexi and Lillian Mokhiber; her sisters Kaye (Gordon) Andrews, Kristyn Martin (John Rolando), Kerrilynn (Frank) Rooney, and Keryl (Ron) Ball; also many nieces and nephews.
Inurnment in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
