Alvin R. Elliott, age 81, of Plainfield, died Sunday January 5, 2020 at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose.
A celebration of Alvin's life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Ponderosa Pines (287 State Highway 73) in Bancroft. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Alvin was born November 2, 1938 in Plainfield to Justin and Ellen (Ellis) Elliott. He married Shirley Jean Leinweber on October 3, 1959 in Almond. For 32 years he was employed as a tow motor driver at Consolidated Papers in Wisconsin Rapids, retiring in 2000.
Alvin formerly served the US National Guards. He enjoyed hunting fishing, camping and time spent on his hobby farm. He and Jean enjoyed wintering at campgrounds in Florida after retiring.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Shirley Jean Elliott; four children... and by seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his in-laws...
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law Vernon Goman; granddaughter Heather Tomschin, his sister Phyllis Rieves, his brothers-in-law Jake Davison, Albion Cummings, Joseph Leinweber, and Norman Rieves.
