Mr. H. Gaston (Preacher) Griffin, died Thursday morning (February 24, 2011) at Satilla Care Center following an extended illness.

He was born and lived in Waycross all of his life. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ineva Griffin; his parents, Matthew Mart Griffin and Emeline Allbritton Griffin; two sisters, Ophelia Smith and Bessie Hester; six brothers, Noah Griffin, Agie Griffin, Everitte (Buck) Griffin, Arthur (Red) Griffin, Oscar (Snap) Griffin, Allen (Shorty) Griffin; and a brother-in-law, Billy Logan.

He was self-employed and owned and operated Preacher Griffin Plumbing Company. He also was a fireman with the City of Waycross for a short length of time. He was a member of Swamp Road Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday (February 27, 2011) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 until 8.
