Sallie Jane Smith, age 74, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born February 18, 1947, and passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her family, on September 13, 2021 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Smith graduated from Bernard High School in 1964. She was a retired food service employee with the Warren County High School and a member of the East End Drive Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late Harrison Eugene and Catherine Spurlock Biles, Sr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harrison Biles, Jr., Robert Biles and Joe Biles; and two sisters, Josephine Crabtree and Marjorie Martin.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 52 years, Frank Smith, Jr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Shawn Smith of Murfreesboro, TN, and Christopher Smith (Karrie) of Morrison, TN; one daughter, Misty Johnson of McMinnville, TN; seven grandchildren, Diamond, Kionna and Bree Smith, Jaylen and Kynslee Johnson and Ryan Ladd and Haili Evans; six great-grandchildren, Trynity, Maliyah and Jacobi Caldwell, Madilyn and Amara Bennett and Averie Ealey; two sisters, Frankie Dalton and Barbara Biles of McMinnville, TN; brother, George Biles (Fred) of Nashville, TN; special niece, Mary Sanders (Jimmie) of Woodbury, TN; sisters-in law, Louise Lusk (Harold) of Rock Island, TN, Fannie Biles of McMinnville, TN and Jean Biles of Smithville, TN; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Smith (Glenda) and Floyd Smith of McMinnville, TN; and special friend Rochelle Ramsey of McMinnville, TN. A host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and church family also survive.

Graveside service and interment will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Bro. Chris Whitaker officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday at High's. The family respectfully request that everyone wear a mask at all times.
