Nora Williams, 89, passed away in Virginia Beach on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
Nora was born in Bronx, NY to the late Daniel and Catherine McAuliffe of County Cork Ireland. She was also predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Richard L. Williams; siblings, Daniel McAuliffe, Ann Singer and Eugene McAuliffe; and her grandchildren, Kate and Evan Napisa.

Nora is cherished in memory by her daughters, Kathleen Sawyer and her husband, Thomas of Topsham, ME, Debra Shantz of Longmont, CO and Linda Napisa of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Scott Sawyer, Craig Sawyer and Meredith Napisa; four great-grandchildren, Maxwell Sawyer, Benjamin Sawyer, Jack Caron and Benjamin Caron.

Nora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She can best be described as feisty and vivacious, the life of the party, and always spoke her peace. In her spare time, she loved bowling, playing cards, and boating. Later in life she found much joy sitting on the front porch waving to passers by and talking to many friends and family.

Visitation will be held at 1pm, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2pm. Interment will immediately follow. After the service a reception will occur at the Woodlawn reception facility.
