Charity Lee West, age 50, of Grapeland, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Charity was born September 5, 1971 in Houston to parents, Stephen Lowry and Sandra Darlene Hunter Lowry. She was a 1990 graduate of Sam Rayburn High School then received her bachelor's degree in education from University of Houston Clearlake. She was currently a fifth grade teacher at Latexo Elementary School and was a member of the Lifepointe Church in Crockett.
At the time of Charity's death she was survived by husband, Michael West of Latexo. Charity is survived by her daughter, Sarah West of Lufkin; father, Stephen Lowry and wife, Diana of Pasadena; sister, April Miyataki and husband, Kanoa and their son, Zane of Hawaii. She was preceded in death by mother, Darlene Lowry.
Funeral services for Mike and Charity West will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in the Lifepoint Church in Crockett. Interment will follow in the Hagan Cemetery.
