Charlie Brown with his ears upright and his buddy with the floppy ears Lucy (2006-Apr 2021) were adopted from a rescue kennel in 2008 by Don Belanger and Syd Gardner of Apple Valley, California. Don and Syd were originally looking for a Miniature Schnauzer to adopt, but on seeing these two not-about-to-be-separated buddies, Don and Syd agreed to provide a home for both dogs.
Charlie was definitely not top-alpha-male material, but he was a great companion, and as he grew older, he became Syd's shadow, following along behind him as he moved around the house, and a steady companion to the right of Lucy when they went on long walks.
Sadly missed, but knowing that he's no longer with his aches and pains.
