At the residence of her son, Albert C Jones, in West Cedar Rapids, on the 20th inst., at 11 pm, from old age, Lucinda Y Jones, aged about 100 years. The deceased was a native of the old Scotch colony in what is now Caledonia County, Vermont. She was the daughter of a Revolutionary soldier and the widow of a Vermont volunteer in 1813, when the "cursed Yankees," who chased Lord Prevost back into Canada and was wounded in the knee at the Saranac bridge. - The Gazette (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), 22 Apr 1885, Wed, Page 4
