Note: One source claims Thomas Youngman is buried in a Morrisville cemetery. Thomas Youngman may have been buried on his daughter's family farm [Betsey (Youngman) Whitcomb] where it is believed he may have died. Betsey Whitcomb lived in Morristown, Vermont in 1840.

"... It is hard for us to realize the Barnet of 1790. The census of that year gives 94 families, the population being 572. As nearly as we can tell, there were only a few roads laid out and in some manner made passable. There was not a four-wheeled vehicle in town of any kind, and no roads fit for its use had there been such. A very few frames houses had been built, but most of the people lived in log cabins. ...
