He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Jones and Della Lester Jones; four brothers, Lester Jones, Roy Jones, Robert E. Jones and John A. "Dugga" Jones; and one sister, Mamie Jones Aucoin.
He was survived by his wife of 62 ½ years, Geneva Clanton Jones; two sons, H. G. "Buddy" Jones and Roy C. Jones; three daughters, Della Ruth Jones Barbee, Elisa R. Jones Holton and Robbie J. Jones Thorpe; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
