THOMAS M. BURCH, GOOD CITIZEN, PASSED AWAY.

Thomas Mitchell Burch was born in Indiania, November 7, 1866, departed this life February 18, 1943, at his home at Dykes, MO.,age 76 years, 3 months, and 11 days. He was united in marriage to Ada Minerva Smith November 10, 1898; and to this union 4 children were born: Nellie Lee, deceased,; George Franklin, of Bucyrus, MO; Mamie Edna Coats of Upton, MO., and Martha Pearl Judkins, Bucyrus, MO., and two grandchildren.
He professed faith in Christ at the age of 17, and in 1913 he joined the Missionary Baptist Church at Dykes, MO., and later became a deacon in the church. He kept the faith and was true to his convictions to the end. He will be greatly missed in the home community.
Those who survive him are his beloved wife, the children above mentioned, one brother, Rev. Wiley Burch, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; one sister Mary Jane Westfall, of Upton, MO., and many other relatives and friends. The Gospel was a light unto his feet and a lamp to his pathway.
Funeral services were conducted by J.R. Holbrook and music was provided by the Houston Baptist Church choir. Burial at Dykes with Evans-Barber as directors.

Tom Burch was known for his strict honesty and integrity, good moral character, and noted for good management of his affairs.
