J.W. Cline, an aged and esteemed pioneer resident of the county, died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B.N. Hickman, in Yell township shortly after noon Friday October 1st. Death was caused by heart failure. He was out in the yard talking to a friend about noon and a few minutes later passed away. He was over 90 years of age. During the past year he had several severe spells of illness but of late he had seemed much better and his death was wholly unexpected at this time. The funeral services were held from Sunday afternoon attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends, burial in Bluff Creek cemetery. Mr. Cline was well and favorably known all over the county and his death will be mourned by a wide circle of friends.
