EBENEZER ALLEN ESQ

b. 1672 in Tisbury; son of James Allen Esq. and Elizabeth Partridge (dau. George and Sarah (Tracy) Partridge of Duxbury)

James Allen resided in Braintree and Sandwich, before residing on Martha's Vineyard. Ebenezer was the 5th of 12 named children of James and Elizabeth Allen.

May 1698: Marriage: To Rebekah Russell of Hadley, MA. Marriage took place in Barnstable.

Their named surviving children:
-Elisabeth b. Apr 1701 - m. Rev William Waldron
-Martha b. Sept 1703 - m. Barnabas Taylor
-Eleazer b. May 1706 (became High Sheriff of Dukes County)- d. 1735
-Abigail b. May 1711 - m. John Sturgess

-James b. May 1716
-Joseph b. Nov 1718 (twin)
-Benjamin b. Nov 1718 (twin)
-Rebecca b. July 1720 - m. Josiah Crocker

Death: in Chilmark, 14 May 1733.

His son Jonathan would die the same year, in November. His son Eleazer passed away in 1735.

Rebekah (Russell) Allen lived a long life and is buried in Barnstable, Mass. She did not remarry.
